Bold Print

In Drawing and Painting, part of our class explored the use of block printing. The students were asked to explore a current issue and use depict it using visual imagery. Block printing using linoleum is an age old processes of carving a "stamp" that we learned to ink up and print using a roller press.

Detroit Strays

 Gun Control

 Water Pollution

 Gay Marriage

 World wildlife

 Net Neutrality
 All the inked linoleum blocks.

The stamp is backwards when you carve it.
